Cheese Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 cup low fat plain yogurt
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Green onions thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup 2% Milk
  • 1 tablespoon spicey brown mustard
  • 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cracked Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Combine the eggs, yogurt chaise, oil, green onions, milk and mustard in a bowl and mix well. Combine the flour, sugar, pepper and baking soda in a large bowl and mix well. Make a well in the center and pour in the egg mixture. Stir just until moistened Grease the bottom of a 5x9-inch loaf pan. Pour in the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out dean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove to a wire rack and let cool for 1 hour. Yield: 12 servings.
